An Amazing Vacation, By Megan.

I mentioned I took a little trip to the magical land of Rochester New York, Home of the Flying Car. Boy was it exciting! Sarah [my co-worker from the Inland Empire] and I got to meet so many people and hear so many brand new accents! There was Sonnet from Philadelphia, and Jodi from Tucson. And wouldn't you believe it, there was also Matt from Richmond, and Simone from Long Island! There were tens and tens of people from all over the country to go through the same training as I was with my company. It was amazing!

The highlight of my trip was seeing Niagara Falls. It was amazing! The water fell so fast, and there was even a rainbow! I wanted to jump in the water because I was so tired and dehydrated from Friday night, but the mounties told me if I didn't jump they'd show me some marmosets and milk in a bag. I did not hear anyone say "eh" instead of "what?" so I was very disappointed. Also, I did not see any of the unicorns they told me about. Canada is sure a strange place!

I also enjoyed visiting a genuine tattoo parlor in Rochester, Home of the Fighting Rocks. It was sure nice and clean, and the lady was very nice and wore a backwards cap. She asked if we wanted to get inked and Sarah and I said "No way! Tattoos are for hussies!" and we ran out to the car. We were very scared. Rochester, Home of World's Tiniest Dollhouse sure turned out to be a scary place!

In Rochester, Home of Xerox Employees Gone Wild, we also enjoyed many fine local dining establishments such as Tully's, Bugaboo Creek, and Dinosaur's BBQ. At Dinosaur's, lots of men came to eat dinner after work. They enjoyed wearing tight pants, just like girls do. It sure is different there in Rochester, Home of Stay Golden! the Official Golden Girls Fan Club!

At the end of the training there, we were presented with a certificate of completion, and the trainers told everyone what they would remember about each of us. When I was handed mine, the trainer reminisced about the time I lost my paper and she had to make me a copy. Oh man! I'll never forget that! Sarah won the Quiet Award for being really really quiet in class. She's so lucky!

By the time the two weeks were over, I was more than ready to get back to California from Rochester, Home of the World's Largest Kodiak Bear. I hopped on a plane, and soon left most of my new friends in Atlanta, Georgia Home of the Really Bad But Good Chinese Food at the Airport Food Court, and Sarah and I headed home to beautiful Ontario International Airport, Home of the World's First Luggage Carousel. I breathed in that smoggy air when I stepped outside, and I knew I was home! It was amazing!
