Hi cyberspace! My name's Jared, and yes the rumors are true: I'M AN ACTOR!!
Yes, I'm a HUGE Andrew Ridgeley fan. He is so cute! I hate George Michael's five-o-clock shadow that he seems to have EVERY HOUR of the day! But even so I can admit that the WHAM! wouldn't be the same without his vox! Like Bernadine I have all their records (on multi-formats!), but I DON'T have the "Denim Years" EP because that's not them!
[FYI:It was recorded by a W! cover band called Young Guns in the late 80's. When their demo of original songs and also W! covers was passed around to labels in 1988, reps thought it was a publicity stunt by the band because of the rumours of a reunion tour. The band went along with it for awhile until Young Guns issued a statement that it was their's. But it DOES sound remarkably like the real deal, and the covers of "Club Tropicana" and "Wham rap" are acoustic which lent (street!) credibility to the possiblity it was an early demo of W!. The cassettes are still highly collectible thanks to the debacle, but it's just not W! Though some people STILL BELIEVE that it WAS W! in the end still going through with the stunt. Give it up! Whew!]
Back on topic ABOUT ME! In 1998 I started the fanzine "Sad Boys" as a dedication to W! I publish fanfic, little-known facts, reviews, bootleg trades-Just about anything having to do with W!. We definitely accept reader submissions so if you ever want to write, let us know!
I act here in Los Angeles as a profession. You may have seen my scene in the movie "Argali" but mostly it's small theatre productions and it's so much FUN! I don't make much...YET! But it's enough to pay the bills. I also sell authentic props I obtain from movie sets [I have some very nice connections: thanks VM and EC!] to supplement my income.
In my spare time I go Rage, go see art films and attend gallery openings with my boyfriend Archuro. I also work on the fanzine and various other projects I have going. I love email! Feel free to say hello! jared@medioxcore.net
